After the 9.30am Mass on Sunday 28 January a Parish Focus Meeting will be held at Te Rau Oriwa Marae. All parishioners are invited. We will address the questions given us by Bishop Charles Drennan:
- How can we grow and strengthen and make more dynamic our parish this year through the sacraments and liturgy?
- How can we strengthen our parish through greater participation of Māori and other ethnic groups?
- How can we grow participation in our parish this year with more children, young families and teenagers?
- How can we enliven our parish this year through social justice and service initiatives?
plus any other topics raised by parishioners. The idea is to participate in a Diocese-wide consultation as well as to set priorities and generate fresh ideas for the Parish committees in 2018.
The meeting will go from 11am-12.30pm and will be followed by a shared lunch in the hall. Please bring a plate to share.
