Hello to the Catholic Community of Wanganui. My name is Hamish Peters and have recently joined the leadership team. My family and I have lived in Wanganui for 10 years after moving here from Whangarei, Northland. I am a civil engineer and run my own consultancy business based in Wanganui.  Feel free to approach me and discuss any issues or queries you have about our parish.   I attend mass on Sunday morning at St Marys (9:30 am). Look forward to talking with you.

My name is Paul Watkins. I am born and bred Wanganui was baptised and confirmed in the old St Mary's Church in the Ave, went through the Catholic education system, St Marys - Grey St, Marist at both Campbell St and Totara St, St Augustines at both town existing St Marys site and Peat St. Left school worked in the ANZ Bank, then to Dept of Maori Affairs, worked in Melbourne 8 months then worked with NZ Post, then as Caretaker at Marcellin and finally with Dempsey & Forrest for the past 22 years. Have been a parishioner of St Anthony's / Holy Family from birth to current day. Am involved in the Community through Blind Foundation, Birthrite, Lions and various other charitable organisations over the years. Have served on School boards and Holy Family finance committee for many years. Enjoy mostly spending time with family and play golf when I can find the time. Enjoy visiting my younger bro Philip who is a catholic priest with the Blessed Sacrament Order in Sydney and my older brother John and his family in the outback in a little township named Walla Walla population 715 or 716 when I am in residence. My work demands a lot of my time but I feel I have a gift and I strive to use it as best I can I feel privileged to do the work I do.

Hello everyone. My name is Pam Hopper. I am the Josephite Retreat Centre Co-Ordinator up at Mt St Joseph and have been for the past 3 and a half years. I was born & bred in Wanganui and have lived here all my life except for 8 months in 2008 when we moved to our sister city, Toowoomba, in Australia.  Growing up I attended St Vincent’s parish in Castlecliff and have been a parishioner of St Mary’s for over 30 years. I am a sacristan there and expect to be a constructive contributor to the Leadership Team.  For those who don’t know me feel free to introduce yourselves, I love meeting new people.

Hello, my name is Maree Adams.  I have recently retired from our touring business which together with my husband, we have run for 26 years.  I am hooured to be a member of the Leadership committee and look forward to helping our combined Parish to flourish, showing God's love to all people.
